We have worked with this outfitter for years. I hunted with one of Mike's guides and harvested a very big tom weighting 166 lbs. This cat just missed B&C by an 1/8th of a inch. Once you have done his Lion hunt you will not want to miss his great Black Bear hunt, using hounds. The outfitter has one of the best pack hounds in the west. He paid $7,000 for one of his dogs! If you're looking for a big Mt. Lion or a big boar Black Bear, nearly 100% color phase, these would be the hunts for you. After looking at what some of my other outfitters were doing, he decided to offer a guaranteed hunt. Here's how it works; you book a seven day hunt, you hunt every day, and if you don't harvest an adult cat you come back free of charge!

This outfitter has harvested some really big cats. Your chances at taking a record book cat are good. Snow does mean a lot in any Mt. Lion Hunt, so if you can come on call, it can help a lot. The outfitter will watch the weather and give you about a four day advance call. Your hunt will not take long if the weather is good. Snow allows the outfitter to look for big tracks and increase your chance in harvesting that record book cat. Mike sends his guides out at night while you are sleeping and looks for big tracks. Lots of times his guides will have a cat located at first light and you will turn the dogs loose when the track is still very hot. Most hunts with snow are no longer then 5 days and many will finish in two days! He also does dry land hunts and again, if you do not score, you come back free!!! If you don't have an opportunity to harvest an adult cat weighting 140 lbs or bigger, you can come back free! License, lodging, and air not included . NOTE: The government of New Mexico has added a 6.19% tax to all hunts. This will be computed and added to your final payment.
