One of the best ways to hunt Caribou is to locate your hunting camp in a major migration route, catching the Caribou as they are funneled through a particular location. My outfitter has his migration camp right in a mountain pass where thousands of Caribou must come through every fall. This is in Game Management Unit 17. Biologists counted over 200,000 animals this past summer. This is the Mulchatna herd which is growing at an alarming rate, so you can harvest two Caribou. Second Caribou is a $500 trophy fee plus tag. Hunt is seven full days.
You should have no problem taking a bull in the 380 to 400 range, this is a great bow hunt. You can also combine this hunt with Brown Bear, Moose or Black Bear. (The second Caribou is a $500 trophy fee). This is a seven day hunt, great fishing included. You can't go wrong. Departure is from Dillingham, Alaska one guide for two hunters. $500 from Dillingham to camp.

Harold's Pond Sam's Pond that are used to spot moose for an exciting "spot
and Stalk". It is common to see 4-6 moose in a hunting day at Harold's Pond
or Sam's Pond with a very high number of respectable bulls. Hunt the giant of the north.

book this hunt. Join the Bill and the Hunts To Remember team as we hunt in
Newfoundland this year. Woodland Caribou The location at Steele Lake, located by the outfitter, provides for
superior trophy hunting. With the fly-in remoteness Steele Lake provides our
guests with excellent opportunity in taking Boone and Crockett and Pope and
Young Trophies. Also, our site at Sam's Pond provides excellent opportunity for
record book caribou. At Sam's Pond provides the chance to hunt the Middle Ridge
Herd of caribou that, according to biologists, are the biggest antlered herd in Newfoundland. This site will be deep
in the Bay Du Nord Wildness
Reserves as is Rainy Lake, At the same time the
outfitter will provide tent and an aluminum boat and motor. This will be a
fly-out site for 2 -3 nights stays for record book caribou. At the Trophy Caribou camp they take a
maximum of 4 hunters per week; yet they can accommodate up to 6 hunters, but
only within the same party. The lodge has all the comforts of home; hot and cold
running water with showers, generated electricity and propane refrigeration, as
well as a mobile radio telephone system. At Steel Lake they provide three
aluminum boats and one canoe with outboard motors for use to travel a nine mile
water system. The western region of this system boasts the best caribou terrain
in Newfoundland (i.e.: being their breeding and calving range). With miles of
white caribou moss covering the rolling terrain and frequent shrubby Junipers,
Caribou find this terrain to be prime habitat. These caribou hunts can be tailored to
your needs. You may choose for a 1:1 hunt, (a personal guide) or a 2:1 hunt Being a commercial bush pilot this
outfitter can offer versatility of the bush plane along with satellite
camps! Black
Bear Steele Lake, as well as Harold's Pond
and Sam's Pond, provides good chances to stumble onto a Black Bear; especially
at Sam's Pond. There is a high population of these trophy bruins weighing in
excess of 500-600 lbs. The outfitter offers sum great bated
hunts for very big bear! ACCOMMODATIONS: MOTEL before and after: Guests flying into Gander will normally
