Eastern Russia
Russia is
one place we at Snodgrass Big Game Hunts, Inc has not hunted. We would
like to sell Russian hunts but will not until we sure our clients will be
taken care and have a GREAT HUNT TO REMEMBER
KAMCHATKA PENINSULA
The vast wilderness of the Kamchatka peninsula is a stronghold for the legendary giant Brown Bear.
These Russian bear's are a close relative of the Alaskan Brown Bear. The largest bears in Russia are found along salmon-bearing rivers and the west coast river's, of Kamchatka. In early May, the bears are just coming out of hibernation, and are found on sunny mountain slopes where the first grasses grow. Because of snow, hiking for spring hunts is physically demanding; we make use of snowshoes and snowmobiles when necessary. In September, the bears congregate along rivers to feed on salmon. Hunting is conducted by stalking salmon pools and riverbanks or by float
trip, so you may take advantage of fishing for some of the worlds finest rainbow trout and salmon.
Success rate on Russian Brown Bear is virtually 100%?
The outfitter fully expects our clients to take bear in the 8-1/2 to 9-1/2 foot class, and they do take some 10 foot bears.
Both spring and fall hunts require at least two hunters per group.
