This hunt is located on the South Island in one of the most beautiful locations you may ever visit. Breathtaking views can be seen from every direction. The hunt area consists of 1,000 secluded acres on one of New Zealand's last frontiers. Tahr and Chamois can be hunted by paying additional trophy fees. Tahr will have to be hunted on another ranch.

Bill Snodgrass hunted this ranch and success rates run nearly 100%. This can be an easy hunt or very challenging. You can avoid climbing by driving up the mountain and hunting down. The terrain is steep. You can expect to harvest Stags that will probably run 12 to 16 points. There is a very good chance your Stag will score at least Silver S.C.I. If Gold Medal is desired, we will hunt another ranch with higher trophy fees. Fallow Deer will score very good with possible Gold Medal. Both Stag and Fallow Deer are wild!

Species offered for hunting are: Red Stag, Fallow Buck, Ram, Wild Boar and Feral Goat. The Stag and Fallow Buck provide the ultimate challenge. The best time for hunting is March 1 to the end of July. The rut is from mid March to mid April. Guides provide essential local knowledge to ensure a successful hunt. Guides are 2x1. Hunt on a variety of terrain with a 4-wheel drive road system. There is very little hunting pressure. Hunters with medical or physical limitations are welcome.

Accommodations are in motels, bed and breakfast, and hunter huts. Native food and wines are served. You may hunt with rifle, bow, black powder or your camera. Ladies and families are welcome. The cost is $2,995 with air included from the West Coast. There are a variety of other activities if they choose not to hunt. Turkey hunting and Trout fishing are also offered. This is hunting heaven! It is an easy overnight flight from Los Angeles.
