You can expect to hook four to five Sails a day. This is, again, light tackle, yet, the average Sail will weigh 100 pounds with some going 200 pounds. Marlin, if they can get to your bait will weigh 200 to 500 pounds. Marlin are not for the faint of heart. Sometimes you battle these big game fish for hours. Everyday, I look at my nine foot Sail and remember my trip. A one day charter in Alabama would cost $1,400. You could have three days in Costa Rica for $1,415. A fish license is $32.
